Welcome to the       Buzzards Bay Rowing Club!

About the BBRC

We began in 2005 with 50 members and one boat. We now have over 100 members, 3 whaleboats and 2 Concept II rowing machines.

We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization.  We support our non-profit status with fund raisers and membership dues.  We give back to the community in many ways, including scholarships to five local high schools, donations to various charities and volunteering our boats and services to the community.

Can’t forget to mention races… We participate in many races– from our own Open Water Challenge and Working Waterfront Race to those offered in Hull, Essex, Martha’s Vineyard and Plymouth.  It is a great opportunity to meet other rowers and see some really beautiful boats and waterfront communities.

We offer open rows 4 times a week. Come out and row with us 3 times before joining. Check out the schedule because these change from time to time.

But that’s not all…...we do more than row. We have many members who participate in other activities including but not limited to kayaking, biking, running, rowing other types of boats and traveling. The members in this club are as social as they are active. We love a good party and everything includes food!

We have several options for memberships including Individual, Family, Associate, Boatsteerer and High School Club.

We are happy to mail you a membership application. Check out our website which has a lot of great information—so be sure to browse around.
